🆕 Entity Relationship Diagrams

Beekeeper Studio 5.5 introduces a built-in Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) viewer that generates a visual map of your tables and relationships directly from your database metadata.

This gives you a quick way to understand structure, spot relationships, and reason about unfamiliar schemas without leaving the editor.

See relationships across schemas

If a table references objects outside the current schema, those tables still appear in the diagram, but with a distinct visual style so you can immediately see when a relationship crosses schema boundaries.

This is useful when you’re working in environments where ownership is split across schemas (auth tables, shared lookups, partitioned data, etc.).

Export as image

You can export any diagram as an image or copy it directly to the clipboard. This is useful when you need to include schema diagrams in design docs, share them with teammates, or keep a snapshot alongside a migration.

Start using ERDs

You can access ERDs by:

Tools → Open ER Diagram to view the whole database
Right-click a table or schema → View ERD
From a table’s Structure tab: click the status-bar cog → View ERD
