Highlight: Recent community contributionsWe're a small team, but we ship waaaay more bug fixes and product improvements than teams 10x our size. Being open source is a huge reason why we can do this. We have fewer bugs, and more features thanks to the Beekeeper Studio community. Improved Fuzzy SearchHit CTRL+P to search your database with a fuzzy search input. This has worked for a while, but our original solution required the app to build an index of all tables and queries, which was actually pretty slow and expensive, especially for large databases. Thanks to @valtism who reimplemented this using uFuzzy, which does not require it to build an index. Force Close TabsIf you try to close a tab with unsaved changes Beekeeper Studio will ask if you're ok discarding them. This is super sensible, but some users were frustrated that there was no way to skip the prompt. Enter @pvlvld who added this feature recently. They also fixed an annoying bug where mashing ctrl+w will spam you with modals stacked on top of each other. Cross-platform zoom fixA hard thing about making desktop apps are, well, the desktops. To be specific, the differences between MacOS, Windows, and Linux. It's easy for us to miss things on one platform or another. Sometimes big, sometimes small. So a big thanks to @line1029 who fixed our Zoom +/- keyboard shortcuts on MacOS. Progress feels so goodI've used other software (cough Firefox cough) where bug and feature requests sit open for years and years without any movement. We're trying our best to keep the Beekeeper Studio codebase accessible and easy to hack on. We recognize that open source is a superpower, and the amazing community engagement is not something to be taken lightly.
